DMCA Takedown

If you own the rights to something that was posted here without your permission, you can ask us to remove it. This page explains how to do that in a way that gets a fast answer, and what we need from you to act.

Please read the whole page before sending a notice. Incomplete notices slow things down, and sometimes they cannot be processed at all.

Before you send a notice

Check that the content is really on our site and not on a site that only looks similar. Copy the exact URL of the page where the item appears. If there are several items, list each URL on its own line. A single notice can cover multiple URLs from the same copyright holder.

If the content was uploaded by you in the past and you changed your mind, that is not a DMCA case. Use the contact form instead and explain the situation. We handle those requests separately and usually faster.

What a valid notice must include

  • Your full name, address, phone number and email
  • A description of the copyrighted work you believe was infringed
  • The exact URL or URLs of the infringing material on this site
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized
  • A statement that the information in the notice is accurate
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner
  • Your physical or electronic signature

If any of these are missing, we may send the notice back and ask you to complete it. That adds a round trip and delays the removal.

Where to send it

Send the notice through the contact form on this site, or to the email address listed on the contact page. Put the words DMCA Notice in the subject line so it does not get lost in the general inbox.

Do not send the notice as a link to a cloud folder. Paste the text in the message or attach it as a plain text or PDF file. We need to be able to read it without downloading anything from an unknown source.

What happens next

We read every valid notice. If it checks out, the content is removed or disabled, usually within a few business days. The member who uploaded it gets a note explaining what was removed and why. Repeat uploaders lose their account.

If the notice is incomplete or does not match the content, we reply with a short explanation and ask for the missing pieces. We do not ignore notices, but we also do not remove content on request alone. There has to be a valid claim behind it.

Counter notices

If you uploaded something and believe it was removed by mistake, you can send a counter notice. It works the same way: your details, the URL of the removed item, a statement that you have the right to post it, and your signature. If the original claimant does not respond within the legal window, the content may be restored.

Repeat infringers

Members who get multiple valid DMCA notices against them are removed from the site. This is not negotiable. We would rather lose an uploader than keep content that does not belong here.

That is the process. If you have a valid claim, send it and we will act. If you are not sure whether your case fits, ask through the contact form first and we will point you in the right direction.
