Privacy Policy

This page explains what data the site collects, why it does that, and what you can do about it. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the site, we do not sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it.

If something here is unclear, use the contact form and ask. We would rather answer a question than have you guess.

What we collect

When you visit the site, the server logs a few basic things: your IP address, the browser you use, the page you opened and the time. This is standard for any website and helps us spot errors, block abuse and keep the site online.

If you register, we store your username, email address and a hashed password. We also store the content you upload, the comments you leave and the items you mark as favorites. None of this is shared with other members unless you choose to make it public.

If you upload a video or a gallery, the file itself is stored on our servers. Metadata like title, tags and category are shown on the item page, so other members can find it.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies. One keeps you logged in between visits. Another remembers your preferences, like the language or the content filter. A third is used for basic analytics, so we can see which pages are popular and which are broken.

You can block cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, but you will have to log in every time, and some preferences will reset. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites.

Third parties

We use a few outside services to keep the site running: a CDN for images and video, a counter for basic stats, and a payment processor if you ever buy something. Each of them sees only what it needs to do its job. None of them get your password or your full profile.

We do not sell your data to advertisers or data brokers. If that ever changes, this page will say so clearly before it happens.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, and we will send you a copy. You can ask us to correct anything that is wrong. You can ask us to delete your account and the data linked to it. You can also ask us to stop sending you emails, other than the ones needed to keep your account working.

To make any of these requests, use the contact form and mention what you want. We reply within a reasonable time, usually a few days.

Data retention

We keep account data for as long as the account exists. If you delete your account, we remove the profile, the email and the password within a short period. Uploaded content may stay up if other members have linked to it or if it is part of a public collection, but your name is removed from it.

Server logs are kept for a limited time and then deleted or anonymized. They are used only for troubleshooting and abuse prevention.

Security

Passwords are stored hashed, not in plain text. Traffic between your browser and the site is encrypted where possible. We do not ask for more information than we need, and we do not keep payment details on our servers.

No system is perfect. If we ever have a breach that affects your data, we will tell you what happened and what we are doing about it.

Children

The site is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page from time to time. The new version goes up here with a fresh date. If you keep using the site after a change, that counts as accepting the new version.

Thanks for reading. If you have questions, the contact form is the fastest way to reach us.
